I have a 27 gallon tote. I use it three or four times per year at most.
27 gallons means four trips to the dump station when my TT tanks are full.
An 8 gallon tote would mean at least 10 trips.
Unfortunately we have one of those TT where putting in the slides and going to the dump station means moving around the furniture, pulling up the manual/ electric stabilizers and blocks. At least an hour of work. I can make four trips to the dump station 30-45 minutes.
The sad part is that we usually have to use the tote at the COE park closest to our children/ grandchildren. The rest of the year, we are usually moving from place to place often enough I don't need the tote.
Now as far as expense. I can certainly understand not wanting to spend a lot of money on something seldom used. But the tote is a tool. Cheap tools cost more in the long run. (The OP link is not designed to transport waste, though obviously it can be done.)
We have a Thetford. If I ever replace it, I will buy a Barker.
