My point remains the same: there is a HUGE difference between a "pit toilet" (a hole in the ground with an outhouse over it) and a "vault toilet" (a sealed concrete vault with an outhouse over it, that must be pumped out).
While it MAY be OK to dump your waste water in a pit toilet, it is definitely against the rules to do so in a vault toilet in most places (not just Montana). In specifically Montana, it is also against the rules to dump your waste water on the ground.
The actual point of it all is that one should be aware of the rules, regulations, and laws of the area where you are camping, whether it be Montana or Ontario.
