Hey, your alone, first find something that you can afford, be it a Pop-up or a Cab over, It doesn't have to be new and probably shouldn't be. Once you have decided what works for you, take it to your friendly mechanic and have them check it out, fix what needs fixed and your still ahead money-wise.
Then make a bucket list of stuff you would really like to see, Yellowstone or maybe your a history buff or Civil war buff, or you bird or you fish, and use that as a guide.
Make some rules ie travel less than 100 miles a day or stop at all brown signs, and enjoy your trip
