One more silly (I guess) question: Those AC units that fit on the roof, do all of them require 110v-ac via hook-up or generator? I would think there would be some that could work off of 12v dc. Yes/no?
To run an AC you need either a generator or a 110 V hookup. Power from 12 V batteries is relatively limited and won't do the job unless you have a lot of them.
