Wow, that sucks. And very unusual! I suppose as long as you make regular, tested backups you'll be OK.
I am trying out Symform (free), but it backs up over the internet so there goes your bandwidth. For a no-bandwidth solution, a USB drive. And hope it doesn't get burned in a fire or lost in an RV accident or stolen. You can keep a 2nd USB drive at a friend's house and swap it periodically.
