We use our 5th wheel here at the house all the time - second home... It stays wired in all the time. I check all the time for battery fluids...
My OFF-ROAD POPUP trailer gets the batteries switched completely off. If they are fully charged they do not freeze up over the winter months. I check the voltage levels all the time when unhooked sitting in the battery box. If it looks like they are draining down too far I will hook up the power again and recharge for a few days.
