Is it ok to drive one RV at small cities ?

Hi.

I am really new to RV and want to know if is it ok to use an RV to go from the RV park to a near city in order to go shopping, for example. What are the RV parks rules about this ? What the transit rules about this ?

Thanks a lot

  • Agree with BB_TX. Just let the management know you're coming back and do what you want to do.
  • I agree with the other 2 posts, you can certainly come & go as you please, just make sure the park manager or whatever knows what you're doing, & that you are coming back, Where you go depends on the size of your rv & parking available. It is easier though to just get well stocked up before you go. You could just stop on the way in or after you have checked out to go shopping.
  • We normally don't, just because of the difficulty getting in and out of the campsites, but there is no reason why you can't, especially in a smaller RV, such as a truck camper or a class B. All it is is instead of going to the grocery and bringing stuff home, you take home to the grocery.
  • You would want to let management know what you were doing so they did not think you had just left permanently.
  • Never been to an RV park where you couldn't come and go as you please with whatever rig you have.

Be careful to mark your site if it is a first come, first serve site. But, if you have paid for it, it is yours.

Only restriction may be parking your rig where you are going in town...depending on your rig.
