- mlts22ExplorerMake sure to use copper wool or -stainless- steel wool, otherwise regular steel wool will turn into a rust powder in no time...

In my personal experience, you have to replace it often. It will not last the whole winter. But at least the instructions tell you this.
When we store our motor home we have good luck with Fresh Cab

I went with peppermint oil on cottonballs inside the coach this season. Mothballs in the engine compartment and under the front steering area. - tenbearExplorerI used expanding foam without the steel wool. Worked good. Forgot to seal the space around the power cord and had mice a couple of years ago. Now I keep that sealed and no mice.
- Led_67ExplorerHere is something alog the lines of what Mr.Camper had to say.

Along with the steel wool and foam to seal any intrusion points this looks loike a viable product.

http://www.earth-kind.com/ - Mr__CamperExplorerFill any gaps with steel wool after you soak cotton balls with peppermint oil and push them into the cracks. Leaves your RV minty fresh and mice-less.
- GoPackGoExplorerWhen I lived in Iowa and had a popup I used to buy a box of moth balls every fall, put 2 or 3 mothballs into about 15 dixie cups and then put the cups all over inside the popup - inside drawers, cabinets etc. I even opened the outside access panel for the water heater, water inlet, etc and stuck a few cups in there. In the spring I would gather up all the cups and dispose, then leave the camper opened up for a few days to air out. Never once had a problem. You might consider doing the same. I would probably also sprinkle a whole box all around and under the rig on the shed floor. Maybe 2 boxes - they're cheap, they work, and it's easy clean-up.
