Next time someone honks at you, stop what you are doing, put the truck in park, exit vehicle and go ask them what they need, perhaps they noticed you were going to hit something or something was wrong... Tell them you were busy parking your trailer in the site you are paying for but since they obviously knew this and honked anyway, something must be more important, be sure to thank them for their concern. Take your time walking over and extra time walking back to to continue your parking. If they honk again, repeat process. If it happens a third time, go over to them and start talking about the weather...
Actually, the times this has happened, I haven't even been in the truck. And I have walked over to talk to them only to be explained to me that they are trying to "get by". I haven't gone on hundreds of trips so this has only happened 2 or 3 times. I think 2 times I was disconnecting the sway bar and spring bars, once I may have been hooking up. Its not like that takes a huge amount of time either.
All of the times I have moved, dragging the trailer around the loop another time so they can get by and I can do my thing. None of those times have they said anything other than they needed to pass. If something is more important thats fine, just tell me. In the end, I end up moving anyways so guess it doesn't matter.
