- CrabbypattyExplorerCant stand it when people leave the dam lights on all night long. There just isnt a need for it when your in a CG where everyone is on top of each other. Very inconsiderate.

If you are not outside or away planning to return after dark why on earth would you want your lites on?
I caused a scare light guy to be ejected from a NYS park several years ago.
We set up,got dark and his lights came on. Bright enough to light up the inside of my HTT. Tolerated it the first night. Second night same thing. That morning I knocked on his door and brought the problem to his attention. He went off like a rocket telling me he didn't spend $60,000 dollars on his rig so some lowlife in a **** tent could tell him what to do. I went to the park manager, manager went to mister bright lite, and got the same treatment I did. Ten minutes later the NYS Park Police were sitting in front of his site watching him break camp and escorting him to the gate!
Seems to me it would have been easier just not to turn on the light.
Or just say sorry, I like my lights on. I agree that having the bright ones on is stupid, but low light is not an issue when it is pitch black! - pitchExplorer IIIf you are not outside or away planning to return after dark why on earth would you want your lites on?

I've found that my very low light LED`s on do not create a problem. I also have them on a timer to go off around midnight! Quiet hours are for noisy campers, not lights! I can still see the stars at night even with my lights on.
I for one feel that lights and voices should go down at the same time. - starcraft69ExplorerI find that in campgrounds it is considered rude. But in RV parks it is more common to see lights on all night.
- icanonExplorerAs an amateur astronomer it really bugs me when folks leave their lights on for no reason. Some say you can still see the stars even when the lights are on, not totally true your eyes adapts to the dark and you can see more magnitude stars and galaxies.

When I take my scope out people especially the kids love to ask questions and to see their faces when they look through the scope is so gratifying! - StraboExplorer

What would be the purpose of leaving the lights on all night?
To run the battery's down. Unless it's an LED light. We only camp in the desert so it not crowded like a campground. One thing our toyhauler doesn't have is a porch light, wish we did. - dodge_guyExplorer III've found that my very low light LED`s on do not create a problem. - SuperiorBoundExplorerI like to step out at night and look at the stars. If your light is on all ight and lighting my space it makes it less pleasant.
