I have been doing a lot of looking in this size range. a 24-26 ft trailer will be somewhere around 6000 lbs Gross weight and is probably ideal for a couple. Indeed, as already mentioned by Jayco-noslide, anything bigger limits the places you can go and stay. The shorter the rig, the easier it is to find a space it fits in.
I bought a low mileage '03 Ram 2500 with the Cummins and six speed for towing and intend to sell the MH.
Every time I see something interesting, I search for the original sales brochure. Many times I find one a year or two newer or older, sometimes I find the exact one. It helps to have all of the specs on weights, tire sizes, tank sizes, etc. Even some of these are not clear on length being the box or the ball to bumper dimension.
