only time you MUST TURN OFF is when fueling or you could be on the 6pm news.

Open flame or spark to ignite at a gas station - not a genuine concern? Why wouldn't you take the 30 seconds to turn it off? SMH.
30 seconds? To pull over along the highway and run back into the trailer and turn it off, then get back in the TV and proceed to the gas station. Fill up and drive off, then pull over again, go back and start up the fridge? 30 seconds? If you're pulling up to the pump and then shutting down the fridge you're doing nothing? Might be quicker in a MH.
Could an RV fridge ignite vapors at a gas station? Yep sure could. They also sell Powerball tickets at most, your chances of hitting it are about the same as blowing the place up with your fridge.
On edit; makes sense that a TT would take longer and be more cumbersome to turn it off. Add to that the proximity of the fridge in the TT relative to the pump/truck at the station - I would agree the odds are much less. I have my MH hat on because that's what I own. In a MH it's much more of an issue because often the refer can be very near the pump. Sounds like it's not really an issue in a TT.
