I bet Yamaha generator sales are getting a nice bump while Honda sorts this out.
The two makes are so close in performance and price.
Yamaha only offers a 2K unit with a 79 cc engine, the EU2200i has a 121 cc engine and is a far superior genset. This is a minor bump in the road, only affects units within a certain serial number range, and will be resolved by Honda.
far superior in BBQ power I'd say. Get a Champion and pocket the difference. They don't leak fuel. I have a 4 year old one. Runs flawlessly.
I believe Yamaha still makes the 2400. Nice genny but not cheap. I have a 14 year old Honda EU2000 that still works like new. The Champion line is a great value with decent support and parts availability. Daughter bought the Champ 3400 with electric start for $999 online with free shipping and no tax. Nice genny but takes 2 people to lift
