Max tow
Just curious if anyone know the max tow capacity for a 2010 Dodge Ram 1500? It's 2 wheel drive 4.7L V8 engine with an 8ft bed. Thanks all!

- need to know cab size, rear end ratio and model(SLT, ST, Laramie).
- You need to go to the link and look at your exact truck. Ram also has a site that you can check by VIN #.
I had a 2012 RAM SLT Quad cab with the 4.7 of course being a quad was quite a bit heavier than yours. Ram said I was good for 6700#. They were optimistic. I towed my 5000# gross 23' htt. did fine on the level but that little V-8 struggled on hills. Only got between 6 and 8 MPG.
I traded for a 2013 Ram 5.7 and the thing pulls like a freight train and gets better mileage. - You will need your axle ratio then look here:2010 tow ratings, trailer life
You will likely have to pay more attention to payload rating for tongue weight than max tow rating.
