It is not foolish to think of safety,but the vast majority of vehicle crashes are intersection incidents. In this case most Class A will fair well (except by IIHS standards*) in that the impinging vehicle is most likely to be a passcar and it will hit too low to seriously injure* the occupants of a Class A.
The real advantage to a Class A only exists if you are travelers and not campers. When traveling, there is a lot more room for the navigator to work and refreshments can be had by sending the non-driver aft to fetch same.
I also love that when the driving day is done, I set the suspension to make the coach level (it isn't really automatic)and turn off the ignition. Then evening begins.

*The standards that they have set prefer the death of the occupant to a lower leg injury as that form of injury can cause very expensive long term disability. It all depends on what you value most.
