Emergency trianagles, Ice maker if you use alot of ice and don't have one in the rv. Emergency brake down service. Braces for inside the refrigerator to keep things from falling out when you open the door. Some type of grill if you want to cook out. Toiletries so that you don't have to keep moving them on and off the rv. Good tire guage. Fan for out doors. If you have a black tank. hose to use to flush black tank, for this we use a regular green garden hose. Leveling blocks if you don't have stabilizers attached. Waste basket for bathroom and kitchen. Flaslights.

That sounds like a sewer opening that is only meant to put just the hose down in to when dumping. Not with the elbow attached on the end of the sewer hose. The opening should have threads to be able to use the elbow.

And if I understand correctly what the opening looks like, it is the type that many CG's require a rubber sewer donut to be used. Which the donut sounds like what you need.

Take the elbow off sewer hose, place donut in hole and insert hose.
If you don't have one and it IS the type of sewer opening that needs one my bet is the CG store WILL have one for you to purchase! :B:W

Carry an assortment of replacement fuses, bulbs, screws, nuts, bolts and washers. Don't need a carpload but at least some. I carry a drill and bits and a tool kit. A canopy is a great idea. Never leave without ours which is a 10 x 10 I got at Wallyworld for $50.

We keep an assortment of games and craft things in our trailer because most of the time our kids and grandkids are with us at some point during our camping time.

The single most important item is a good TV (tow vehicle). That will make towing your new RV a lot more enjoyable.

One thing I value above all else that has not been mentioned is a magnetic grocery list tablet and pen that STAYS IN CAMPER. You will constantly find things that need a little repair or upgrade and things that you always forget to bring or things that you brought that end up being in the way.
The tablet allows me to make a list of To Do items before the next trip. Whether it is something simple like packing extra batteries for something you forgot or like me I have decided that in my bunkhouse the little closet needs more shelves for dividing the kids' clothes. You will always have notes on nearly every trip your first couple years.

Aside from that the best advice has already been given, a sense of humor. After all a camping trip should be a vacation not a chore.

x2. That is the 1st and foremost. RVing reminds me of those vacations as a kid where nothing ever went right. There was always some kind of disaster and at the time no one was happy. But years later those were some of the best memories ever.

I agree. I really like my rhino. But on my last trip, there was a higher than usual curb built around the sewer that stopped the rhino from locking in. Is there an extender for those situations?
