Need Accessories Advice

Hi All,

I'm new here. My husband and I bought our 2010 F-350 dually last year with the intention of being prepared for a truck camper when the right one came along. We think we may have found it!! :) But we need advice on outfitting our truck with the right accessories. Think airbags, springs, sway control, tie downs, turnbuckles, extension hitch...help!
The camper we are looking at is a 2013 Lance 1191. We will be within but pushing our GVWR. We intend to sometimes tow a boat with a 500 lb tongue weight.

Suggestions please!

    The truck will also need upgraded shocks such as the Ranch 9000's (or it will wallow like a swimming pig).
    Don't forget air bags - the Ford's always sag with that much weight in the back.
    Very expensive to do the whole package but worth it.

    Good tip! You're right, they are pretty wheels the prior owner put on and are only rated at 2200 lbs each. Good thing we have the original factory wheels also. The tires are good but we will be sure to switch out the wheels before our next big trip. Thanks!

    You need to check the weight ratings of your tires and wheels. The ones in your pic don’t look OEM, and could just be eye-candy. BTDT and had to replace them all after several cracked wheels.

    Firestone bags are a good choice. Have run them on the last two F-350s.

    Run about 5# in your bags when not
     hauling heavy. Run about 20# to 34# when hauling heavy. Too much air will lift your truck off your overloads and cause you unnecessary sway. By keeping weight on the overload springs, your ride should be more stable.

    The bags will level out your truck when loaded. It does not take a lot of air to make the load level.
