Nashville - Where to stay

What is the best RV campground to stay at in Nashville, TN?
We are new at this and do not know where to stay.

    Darn.. you need 2 weeks.

Check out 3rd and Lindsley bar. With any luck Vince Gill and the Time Jumpers will be there. And if you ask "Who's Vince Gill"? ..you should just skip Nashville!! :) :)
  • Only have 2 days in Nashville, what would you recommend I see? I love country music, I will be vising Jonny Cash Musuem.
  • Just stayed last week at the KOA north is was about $10 less per night than the KOA at music row - had a great stay we will stay there again

  • For the price we prefer Two Rivers Campground. Not as fancy as the others maybe but it is on the same road. They book up quickly so I would make reservations. They only have a few 50 amp sites and you must ask for one when you make reservations. They also have water and electric sites only so be specific. If you don't mind driving back into Nashville, 7 miles east is Seven Points Corps of Engineers campground on J Percy Priest Lake. Beautiful setting. Water and electric sites
  • Depends on how much $$ you want to spend. The 3 on Music Valley Drive have gotten over priced. They are close to Opry Land Hotel, Grand Ole Opry and Opry Mall. Have stayed at Nashville Country just north of Nashville. Not sure on there $$ now that they are also a KOA.
  • I can only offer where we stay and why. We stay at the Nashville KOA off Music Valley Drive. It is close to the Grand Ole Opry and the Opryland Hotel. We are not fans of KOA and rarely stay at them, but we stop here every year on our way south for the winter. It suits our big rig and we have never had anything but a pleasant stay there. There is a Downtown Shuttle that stops at the 3 campgrounds and local hotels near Music Valley Drive ($10 per person round trip) and it drops off/picks up in front of the Country Music Hall of Fame. From there, it is a short walk to the bars that offer country music almost 24/7. That way you do not have to drive and can enjoy a libation. There are three campgrounds all in a row in this location but there are others in the area including a COE outside of Nashville that would require driving to get to just about any venues you may want to visit. The KOA is pricy but worth it to us.
