NOT necessarily... If your JEEP is a 4wd with a MANUAL transfer case (Alas the new electronic ones do not work well for this) you can get a decent Class A motor home.. I would recommend a diesel in your case, and Tow the jeep.
(The reason for suggesting a Diesel is jeeps tend to be a bit heavy for a Gasser to tow).

I have towed a Jeep coast to coast different times and through most all of the states and over the highest mountains with a 38' Class A V10 without any problem. Pulls just fine. For several years I had a 36' Class A 460 and pulled a Ranger 4X4 extended cab with service bed full of tools also pulled a Jeep coast to coast with it. No problem running with the diesels of equivalent size.
