For years, I used a 9"X9"X2" cake pan, with one inch of water in it, as a level. Just place it on the cooktop, and when the water is nearly the same depth in all four sides/corners, the rig is level.
Now, I have graduated to an 8 inch torpedo level. I only use it to check the accuracy of the bubble level mounted in the wall by the driver's seat. I do that once or twice a year.
There are a lot of really useful gadgets, gimcracks, and goodies out there that I can spend my money on.
IMO, this thing is not one of them.
