It comes with 2x6V or 1x12V (my choice) with a capacity (battery rack) for either 4x6 or 2x12. I don't know if it makes more sense to just get the additional batteries at the same time or wait until I install solar.
Oh boy, WHERE to start?! ;)
WHAT "4x6 or 2x12" batteries? :h Are we talking two pairs of flooded GC-2s which would typically offer ~ 440 AH capacity, or AGMs? - what make / model, what are the specs? Are we talking a pair of flooded G24s which together may offer ~ 150 AH capacity, or AGMs, or G27s, or G31s, or ....? - what make / model, what are the specs? Without knowing exactly what the dealer is talking about selling you there's
no way for anyone here to recommend which is the best way for you to go with this. AND if you opt for more than just one garden variety flooded G24 that's there as a simple alternative when you don't have shore power HOW are you going to effectively recharge a bank of batteries that are surely going to cost FAR more than just a simple flooded G24? As I said in my previous post you've got some reading to do first. ;)
