While technically true perhaps, once you get to the 4K, ultra HD devices, you won’t find many if any that have a coax input. They may have composit/component input but once again, just as happened when the US went digital, external tuners may be required if you input source isn’t HDMI or USB. - sgip2000ExplorerWithout a tuner, it is NOT a TV. Click here. You will need to get one of these (HMDI to COAX converter). Prices all over the charts:
That's only for audio. - CA_TravelerExplorer IIIPlus with HDMI and the better picture coax will fade out of the picture.
- wildtoadExplorer IIMay I ask what brand and model TV is this?
On edit, there are plenty of coax to hdmi tuner boxes on eBay in the low $20’s. - CA_TravelerExplorer IIIMove the Blue Ray closer and use a short HDMI cable or buy a wireless HDMI setup.

I understand the hdmi from player to tv. No problem. My rv has only co-ax throughout for the tv systems. Only a co-ax connection to tvs and player, no hdmi plugs. I just need to know how to go from my rv co-ax to a player that only has hdmi and lan inputs.
You need a tuner. Usually these are sold as "Digital TV converter boxes;" look for one with an HDMI output, which you will connect to your new TV set. Note that some (many? most?) of these converter boxes don't work with cable systems, only with over-the-air broadcast TV. - TerrysMistyExplorerI understand the hdmi from player to tv. No problem. - TerrysMistyExplorerDefinitely an HD TV. Checked 5 0f 6 tvs and only one had a co-ax input, rest had hdmi and lan inputs. Blue Ray /dvd player also had no Co-ax input, only hdmi and lan inputs. Tech guy at store said all tvs etc. are doing away with co-ax inputs. Not I'm not sure how to make the hookup?
