2016 Keystone 5th wheel co-ax wiring

I have a new 5th wheel with 4 spots for TVs and am trying to wrap my head around how it's all wired up. The manual is absolutely zero help. I have TV spots in the main living room, front bedroom, rear bunk room and one outside. When I hook up the cable at the RV park and do the auto-scan on the TV in the living room it works but not on the rear bunk room (I haven't got around to trying the bedroom or outside yet).

I also notice there is a cable wall plate behind the living room TV with two co-ax attachment points and a small section of cable in a horseshoe connecting them together. Do those each feed another TV? So, can I only watch cable on one TV at a time? Do I need a splitter?

Thanks for any help!

  • It's probably the same, or similar, to mine which is a 2015 model.

Be aware though, Keystone has had some real problems with the screw on connectors they use. I've run into many folks who have had problems with the cabling on a new unit. so, if you don't get a signal where you should have one, check the connectors first. Also, unfortunately, there are some mid-cable splices that use the same connectors. These are usually buried under the coroplast (bottom covering).
  • Our Keystone has 2 COAX connections behind each of the TV's. 1 for campground cable and the other for the satilte attenna on the roof. We put a splitter in the outside box where you would connect to campground cable and that solves that problem. Just have to switch connections behind the tv's depending on how we are hooked up at the time.

    Hope this helps...
  • I have 3 TV spots on my 5er, living room, bedroom, outside. All of mine work ok, Just had to turn the antenna booster off.

We also had a cable plate behind our. I was told it was hooking up for satellite. Never did use though.

I would have to say that that there may be a wiring issue? Is there a splitter there? Maybe what feeds the other locations?
