OK. so you might be OK on the GVWR. But you may just need to upgrade the receiver. However. Before you do. Load the TT for camping, and weigh the tongue to be sure.
Also while the WDH does distribute the tongue weight across all axles. It is still technically on the ball. So the receiver has to have the capacity to carry it.
BTW. My APEX has a dry weight of 4811LB, and sleeps 10. Loaded ready to camp it is in the 6000lb range.
