Well, I am a newbie and just bought my TT the other day. Purchased the Palomino Solaire Eclipse. Its dry weight is 6800#. My TV is a 2005 F150 4x2 5.8L V8 with a 144 WB and max trailer weight of 860...

The published "tow ratings" don't usually mean a travel trailer.. Lots of other kinds of trailers out there too.. ;)
The also really only figure in 10% on the tongue weight, so that's why the hitches are only within 10% of the "tow rating"..
Your rear axle rating will be the next main concern too.. What is it? #3800 or so??
