What trailer do you actually own? Model and year?
You must go to the scales period... Dont waste your time here talking to most on here... Many are oblivious....
Get your #'s and post back...
Like I said I tow alone and the wife follows with the kids... Just came back from a 3 hour trip in PA...
Also I inflate tires to max PSI... 50 PSI for mine... The tires and axles carry the load....Period!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Once you get your rear axle weight from scale then post the axle weights from your door tag....
Dont worry about GVW... ( My opinion)
Use the link I posted to put your #'s in... You may see you need to set the WD better to distribute the weight...( Many set it wrong or have no clue)
You want to restore the front axle weight as close as you can to stock with no TT attached. The rear will take care of itself...
Yes you need a new WD hitch and remove the Ford one if its not....
