Well, I am a newbie and just bought my TT the other day. Purchased the Palomino Solaire Eclipse. Its dry weight is 6800#. My TV is a 2005 F150 4x2 5.8L V8 with a 144 WB and max trailer weight of 860...

Alright. Weighed my truck this morning. Here is the results.
Front axle weight = 3060#
Rear axle weight = 2480#
Gross weight = 5540#
The TT dry weight is 6850#, so a 1115# tongue weight (based on 15% and 580# TT cargo) + 90# for me over the 150# + rear axle weight = 3685#.
The rear GAWR = 3850#
I found an issue I think..
3850 GAWR rear - 2480 = 1370... ok
5540 GVW - 7050 GVWR = 1510.. Cant be..You need to exceed the GVWR before you can exceed the axles..
Unless I had too much wine tonight and am not thinking clearly...:E
