Lawrosa,
Man I certainly appreciate your willingness to help. I guess others think im an idiot and dont want to comment.
Anyway, I reweighed on my way home from work tonight, again but with me in the vehicle. The previous values were done with me not in the truck. The numbers are below.
Front axle weight = 3180#
Rear axle weight = 2540#
Gross weight = 5720#
I also only had a half tank of gas and so you should add another 80#.
I do have the heavy duty tow package. Verified with my Ford dealer today. I have made calculations in an Excel spreadsheet and with an estimated hitch weight equal to 15% of the wet trailer weight (6850# dry weight + 600 TT cargo). This gives the following weights.
GVW = 6916# (Rear GVWR = 7050)
Rear GAW = 3736# (Rear GAWR = 3850)
GCW = 14346# (GCWR = 14000 EXCEEDED)
So, I am on the crisp. I have to assume though that Ford likely at minimum has either a 10% or 20% Safety Factor for warranty purposes.
I am stressing man.
