The paperwork is sitting on the counter and the wife is ready to sign. I have been going back and forth for 5 weeks now and she is about to go nuclear if we dont buy this one. The main purpose for the trailer is to provide temporary housing about 4 hrs from my house. However, my friend who has a 3/4 ton truck said he will pull for me. I just want to be able to use it before relocating the trailer. So, even if it just sits in my driveway till then it has served its purpose.
I agree that I need the tongue weight determined, but I doubt the dealer will take the trailer 5-7 miles to the nearest CAT scale to do this. I have not suggested it cause I assume they will do this.
I have Definity Dakota H/T P265/70R17 113S with a max of 44psi and max load of 2535#/tire. These are larger tires than the stock tires but the stock tires were the LTX A/S Michelin tires.
I have also thought about mounting air bags between the leaf springs and frame as well.
