I agree that I need the tongue weight determined, but I doubt the dealer will take the trailer 5-7 miles to the nearest CAT scale to do this. I have not suggested it cause I assume they will do this.
They have provisions to weight the tongue at the dealer ... Ask them period before signing. Dont tell them the # you are looking for... Maybe ask them if you can be there...
You can do what you want but until I had that # its a guessing game...
The WD will help up and you may be fine but you need that..
If I was purchasing a TT that size with the truck you have Iwould be doing just what I am telling you..
Why ask a friend to tow the TT for you or borrow it?
His truck actually with options may have a lower capacity then yours believe it of not...
Here you go... 8 people family is temporary???
4 bunks up front, 2 on the dinette , and a king bed... You can sit 8 around the dinette, and there is a table for the bunk area..
455 tongue......
