Welcome aboard! Sounds like you and your family are off to a great start. I saw you have a 3 yr old, me too that's how I ended up with a short 5th wheel and diesel p/u. I used to tent camp with my Jeep!
My advise, don't rush to make any decisions about tow vehicals. I do agree with Wegotlost, you should buy something bigger for when you upgrade. Just enjoy what you have now and continue to learn as you go. If you do go with a diesel, I would keep the chip/tuners etc to the low settings. More power wears stuff out, and transmissions are expensive(everything on diesel trucks costs more but, that power pulling up a grade is sooo nice). Storage at the MIL during the off season, awesome!
