Newbie Long Island,NY

Question

Hi folks!Am a newbie from Long Island, NY. I will be in the market for a used 31+foot Class C or A. Looking for something that sleeps atleast 6.For those that know, Long Island is not a place where RVs are popular but travelling close by might be an option. WOuld anyone have any suggestions on where to look for used, where to go for service, any local clubs, and so forth? Thank you for reading, am looking forward to finally living this dream!Rich!

Ironically 5 years ago I had to venture from New Jersey to Suffolk county Long Island to buy the trailer I wanted!

Not really classic RV country is it? I actually based my trailer type partly on what would fit next to my garage. Storage fees were not in the equation.

I dealt with Continental on an awning repair and had a good experience. Don't know how many dealers are even left here. Seems like very few, which might make negotiating tough.

Travel may be necessary to find what you want at the right price.

Went to Continental last weekend and found them (Tom) to be excellent!
Am going to check out W.E.S. in Wading River in next few weeks. Have been there decades ago, seems they also have great reputation.
Both sell used and will inspect something I find off of Craigslist as well. I just want to get to know some of them so when I buy when in the fall they can help.

This forum is great, alot of you have knowledge to share and I appreciate.
