It really depends on you style of camping. Do you spend most of your time outdoors, or do you find that you spend a lot of time in the RV? We get by just fine with an 8.5 foot truck camper but we spend almost all of our time outside, rain or shine, we eat all our meals outdoors so I know we would be OK with that TT. The vehicle is another matter. Figure out your payload, it usually means much more than your towing capacity. GVRW - vehicle weight = payload. That is how much you can total, hitch weight, (usually 15% of the trailer weight) people, gear, etc. You will probably be better off long term with a half ton pickup...then I'd go with a Tundra crew or extended cab.
