Relax, it has only been 13 hours since the original post. :W
Well, if the OP never shows up, at least everyone here has had an opportunity to voice their opinion, create some ruffled feathers for someone else, argue, debate, fuss, moan-groan-and-complain. In the end, it doesn't matter if the OP comes back or not. We've all had a great time responding!
FYI, in my opinion, coolmom42 has it right. If all the OP wants to do is plug into his house to keep the refer going and the battery charged, this is the way to go.
If the OP wants to run everything, than Alabama Jim has it right.
But, considering the OP is just brand new at this, I don't think he's looking for an investment to run a proper line underground for a 50 amp RV hook-up. I think he's looking for the simple "immediate" solution just to get some power to this camper. (dogbone is sufficient until he starts popping breakers.... then he'll figure it out!)
When we moved into our current house, I ran an outside 20 amp normal household (outside box type) box on the outside wall of my garage. Worked OK for (20 amp), to run my 30 amp TT on a dogbone for about 3 years. THEN decided to finally get a normal 30 amp RV box on the side of the garage. Then it took another 5 years to decide to add another 30 amp RV box on the other side of the garage to give me more variety to park and I would not have to drive over the cord any more.
So it may take the OP some time to figure out he needs to run a normal line. Maybe he rents the house he's living in and only needs the temporary dogbone solution. I suppose we won't know until he comes back.
