Is there a place near you with a huge parking lot, such as a church or school lot? One without a lot of cars? Invite a friend to go with you and practice backing it up in parking spaces. Perhaps even buying some cheap orange cones at an auto supply. You won't get it exactly inbetween the lines because those parking spaces would be narrower than a typical campsite but it will give you an idea of turning that wheel.
Practice approaching the spot from both directions. Keep in mind that in campgrounds you'll probably have a little angle at the end of the site. This helps a lot. We've been in a few campgrounds where you have to back into a perpendicular site with no angle to get you going. After that we refused to take a site like that.
One tip someone mentioned to us when we had a 5th wheel is to pull far enough beyond the site before trying to back in. It takes a little while to get that turn.
Also, put your hand at the bottom of the steering wheel. If you want the trailer to go to your right, move your palm to the right. To go left, move it to the left. Do very small movements with the steering wheel.
We've all been there!
