Well I'm a newbie. So sorry if someone has to look at it twice.

We have one that is just as tough if not tougher!
It only has 8 feet clearance!
It, too, is a railroad overpass.
It is difficult to believe that ANY driver would not know that his rig is taller than 8 feet, but it gets one now and then.
The last, IIRC, was a cabover truck camper. The "catcher beam" (installed to prevent damage to the bridge) peeled that camper off the truck like the skin off a blanched red beet!

That bridge is famous here..
