Here's another little item you probably never dreamed you would have to worry about. Water softening devices.
I do most of my RV trips in Southern/Central California or Arizona The water near the Colorado river is ultra-hard. It's calcium/magnesium/iron soup. It overwhelmed my hot water heaters anode rod, and I wound up with huge whitish deposits clogging all my plumbing.
They are expensive, two or three hundred and more, but they regenerate with common table salt. And they work great.
