Nightlights under some rigs

2X with Jake. I just asked my husband why he has our blue rope lights and he said he likes them and they provide light to walk around our camp site or as a nightlight when we return after dark. Seems to me that people who like to decorate their sites are the fun people!

So your position is that you do what you want and it's up to everyone else to let it bother them or not? You can have whatever lights, noise etc that might be too bright or too loud and everyone else is supposed to close their eyes? For your benefit with little to no thought or care about whether it's bothersome? Sounds like you fall into the "I only care about me and you don't like it, it's your problem" category. far too common unfortunately.

Look, anyone can have fun and gadgets and whatever blows your skirt up. I like to have fun and knock back a few as much as the next guy. But in close proximity I try and remain cognizant that others are there to enjoy their time too. There is a limit and a line where this stuff impacts others. There is a give and take. Everyone is not into what everyone else is and there is a compromise. But some folks don't have compromise or even courtesy in ther vocabulary. They do what they want and the heck with everyone else. An entitlement mentality because they paid their $25 they own the park for a night. Everyone else paid too. I'm pretty tolerant but man I have seen some real yahoo's more concerned with a light show and mardis gras and playing block party for a night in the past few years than ever. I have started avoiding places that draw that kind of crowd.

Well,,,yeah,,I had to get my registration out and make sure that I owned my trailer and not YOU!! If I want ground lights then so be it,, if you don't that is your choice,, If I pull in next to you and flip my lights on,,its not for your envy,, its for my enjoyment, I dig cool looking lights,, they make 'em why can't I have 'em?

I am 55 and own a lime green Challenger RT,, should I not own it because the color is bright and upsets people because it looks fast and loud?

I own a Bright blue and Silver metallic bass boat with a 180 HP motor,,should I not take out and fish because it looks fast and loud?

I like fast,shiny,bright and out of the ordinary things,,,Because it bums you out I should not have them around people that may get upset over them??
I guess like you can't understand why I like those cool things,,I jut don't understand why others get so bent about us having them,,, Like the lady i pulled up next to at the light last week,,, yeah my music might have been a little loud,,,,and my car has a rumble to it and in the sun it's bright,, but for a whole two and a half minutes (waiting for the light) She kept giving me that angry clown face?? Whats up with that?? Not like I was going to race her,, or ask her for a date?? The more I smiled the angrier that face got at me?? She actually squealed her tires to get away so fast!!

I respect others spaces,, but lights?? Come on,, I drove over the road trucks for a while,,Yep you guessed it,,, I had more amber and red clearance lights on my truck and trailer then the next guy,,,wanna know why???? Cause I LIKE IT and I CAN!!

Just like in a camp ground,, I have had the clown faces at my set up,, but I have also had people come over to compliment it,, I made nice conversation with those people and even may have shared a beer and a rib or two with some,, I also one time had a nice gentleman come over and ask me If i could move or turn down the smoker because his wife had a lung issue,,,,You Bet!! I moved it to the other side of the trailer,, Made sure when the ribs and chicken were done I dowsed the coals!! Offered up a plate to them and they were extremely nice!!

So,, yeah,, if my STUFF upsets you,, feel free to ask me to shut them off or turn them down or MOVE!! I will do my best to make your stay as pleasant as I can.. Because after all,, its not about me is it??

So you are talking about people who are carrying on past the quiet hour? I can appreciate that. Say the quiet hour is 10:00 then it's quiet down and turn the lights off or tone them way down and keep the party very quiet. Would that be acceptable? Seems like it would fit within the rules.

I will stay up later to party but I'm doing it quietly with no music and very low voices. The people right next to my awning side are trying to sleep. But, at the same time you actually cant even do much talking when you are 15 feet from someones bedroom so I'd say take it inside at 10:00. Even when inside, people should realize that others are trying to sleep and all the walls are paper thin. A person should be able to expect to not hear people carrying on after quiet time.

So as long as the quiet times are applied to lights, it shouldn't be a problem.

It especially annoys the folks that don't have them and wish they did.

My DW's family has owned a desert home since the 50's, and never had problems with critters eating the wiring. We do have problems with the packrats setting up nests in the innards of the Servel and outhouse. Seeing as how the nearest power pole is over $20,000 away we only have generator power. All the wiring in the cabin is romex and it is exposed. not entirely NEC but then again in over 50 years of ownership we've never had an inspector come knocking on the door.

A circus wagon, wow, that would be impressive. Good idea. Maybe I'll see how much a full body wrap would cost for my camper.
