- SweetWaterSurprExplorerWill do thanks
- tpiExplorerCall back to some of the campgrounds which were full and see if they have cancellations. Sometimes timing is everything. A few weeks ago I was in a very desirable riverside campsite in Zion Watchman campground..on a cancellation. It had previously been booked for many months.
- NYCgrrlExplorerGiven yer rig setup I can't figure out why you have a problem finding a space in the 2 spots for the next week:).
- SweetWaterSurprExplorerI have a Phoenix Cruiser and will have a 16ft Enclosed trailer with the Jeep inside. So I'm just gonna try and squeeze this combo in someplace.
- Matt_ColieExplorer IISweets,
You don't say anywhere, but as you are towing a Jeep, I am going to make a wild assed guess that you have a motorhome. If you are actually self contained, you really don't have a problem.
In years of Rving and sailing cruising boats, we have only made reservations last year at Yellowstone. Otherwise we wing it. Sometimes we end up running the APU for A/C if we really need it, but that is what it is for.....
Look at RVParky or about and hundred other "Where you can park your RV overnight" sites. There are even more than anybody lists if you are neat and courteous. The North-East is a special case as it is even more crowded than NJ. But, if you can't find anything else, I always look for a boat yard (marina).
Matt - SweetWaterSurprExplorerReally appreciate all the help
- petendollExplorerhttp://freecampgrounds.com Not much listed here for where you are going.
Also many municipalities and fairgrounds have campgrounds. You might call a community nearby where you are going.
For a quick overnight stop, church parking lots work pretty well as long it isn't Saturday night. - messagejExplorerTry WikiCamps, I have been using it to find place to camp out for about a month now.
- MergsExplorerWe have traveled all over the United States with a 70pd Water dog and when planning on spending a whole day sight seeing we checked at the campground and asked about someone to walk her a couple of times during the day. Always got someone and they are very cheap. Just introduce them to the dog and let the dog get to know them.
