I am new here and I am surprised most of you guys recommend not getting a new RV with warranty.
The reason for that is an RV warranty is not like an automobile warranty.
Buy a new car or truck and you have access to a nationwide network of franchised dealers with factory trained techs, sophisticated diagnostic equipment, and well stocked parts departments. If you have a problem, you go to any dealer you choose and your vehicle will be repaired. You will probably be offered a loaner.
RV buyers enjoy none of these perks. Dealers are independent businesses who do as they wish, and many will not work on a unit they did not sell. Some will do it, but you go to the back of the line. Any major repair is likely to require prior factory approval, which may take a while, and many will involve a wait for parts. It's not uncommon to hear of new RVs spending weeks at the dealer. And dealers vary greatly in their commitment to customer service, as well as the competence of their techs.
