Norcold refrigerator
We want to remove our Norcold fridge and put a household one in. Has anyone done this? We are afraid of fire. We have a 2012 Montana 5th wheel. Thank you

- I am in the process of replacing my Dometic RM1350 with a Samsung Residential.
You'll have to find out the dimensions of the opening and then find a
residential to fit.
I found two to fit my opening
1) Samsung RT21M6213SR/AA
2) Samsung RT18M6213SR/AA
They are 21 & 18 Cu. ft. Counter depth.
You can find dimensions on Samsungs web site.
I also went with 2 6v deep cycle batteries and a Xantrex Freedom XI 1000 pure sine wave inverter.

- That is a common upgrade. With a little research on your part, using previous posts on this and other forums, YouTube, and even Google, you will find lots of information and even step by step instructions. Many people are very happy with a residential refrigerator, even those who often camp without hook ups.
I have a NovaKool 12 volt/120 volt compressor refrigerator in my Class B and could not be happier.
