oil changes

I think that with todays oils & filters, 3000 is a little excessive, and a waste of my $$$$ , The book for my '07 V10 says 5000 & that's exactly what it gets. As far as doing it your self & getting rid of the used oil, many auto parts places will take it for free, I know Advance Auto will.
