OK, I've got to ask.............

You see this several times a day - when someone is the first person to post a reply to a question, why do a number of people use the QUOTE function to reply with instead of using the REPLY TO TOPIC function?

Since they're the first responder, there can't be any question or doubt as to what they're responding to. By using the QUOTE function, it just clutters up the posting by taking up unnecessary space with the quote.

There, now I can go take a nap - it's been a rough morning.....
