Until your wife want to take on turd tank dumping she shouldn't have a say in how you doo it!
Best suggestion is lose the gray water when you need to. Unless your setup puts some of the gray into the black tank, I can't imagine filling the black tank for weeks with just 2 people. Btw your camping. Men don't use the potty for #1 when camping!
It's true, it's like rule #7 on the list of keeping your man card! Lol
Plus it will keep a few gallons of recycled beer out of your black tank making room for the more important things in life.....
