I really frown on overnighting in truck stops now....
Ever Since the government changed the CDL drivers HOS, ( Hours Of Service ) and implemented the mandatory ELD ( Electronic Logging Device) Drivers MUST stop after a certain time frame and have 10 hours off duty, not driving . There is really no way around it like in the past. We ( yes, I did it ) used to run 2 log books in case we got stopped...
Have you noticed just how crowded the trucks stops are now, compared to a few years back ? Those drivers just can't pull into a campground, let them park where they can fit.
