P trap

Yes I do when at a camp for more than a couple of days because I keep the grey tank open for washer, black tank closed. I also changed the flush system to deal with the empty grey tank when dumping the black tank to get a good flush out of the black tank.

That said the grey can build up crud and during the cour Se of the summer I will close that side and drain when full to clean out that Sid e of the system too.

When daring the black tank I will remove the loop in the hose to get a better flush out.

As to why I loop or p trap the hose is that when hooked up and the valves open when some one close by dumps I have had my tank become the vent for the camp and have gotten odors in through the roof vents.
