Ah! my most prized possession! The potato peeler!
You may think this is silly, but the old style potato peelers are still the best. New-fangled contraptions are just awkward to use and cumbersome.
So for the longest time, the old fashioned (good) potato peeler disappeared and mine broke. For about 5 years we tried everything imaginable, and I hated everything, and the copy-cat cheap-o fake knock-off's just didn't work.
Then one day... THERE IT WAS! Bought it, tried it and it worked like it was suppose to! Went back to the store the next day and got 2 more. Have 2 in the house and 1 in the camper, and they have a special holder I made just for them so the edge of the blades won't get nicked on anything!
There's nothing like an old style, sharp, well made potato peeler.
Oh, by the way, my wife and I will go through 10 pounds of potatoes a week, and when camping, we go them faster than that!
So, get a good potato peeler... unless you enjoy peeling with a knife! I never got the knack of that!
