I am new to the forum. I don't even have an RV or MH or any other type of camper at the moment. I figured it would be more prudent to learn all I can here from others before I make the investment! ...

Best thing to do, is to figure where you'd like to go, then go on one of the CG review sites (RVParkReviews.com for example) to find the CGs and their websites for the areas you want to visit.
Once on their website, you can see if there are issues with different breeds, or if they allow any dogs at all (some don't).
If you ever get down to NC, there is a wonderful CG that is completely geared to dog owners, and in fact, would rather you left your kids at home:B
