Picking up 1st trailer on Saturday

Well went to pick it up, had brake put in, sway bars attached, trailer hooked to tow vehicle and the service manager comes out and says, sorry we have not had state inspection done on trailer yet so you can't take it today, maybe we will have better luck this coming Friday. Thanks for all replies to my question.

sewer connections (don't buy cheap)

Sleep bags or sheets.

Kitchen supplies

Fire starters

portable BBQ

portable flat grille for public fire places.

rubbermaid buckets for all your stuff in the storage.

Broom

Mop

small vacuum or dust buster.

folding chairs

"X-Chocks" for stable trailer

Locks for hitch while travling and while camping.

Box of tools, pliers, sockets, screwdirvers, anything need to fix the trailer.

Entire kitchen supplies (don't over do it) think of your weight of TT. Don't be afraid of paper supplies.

Firstaid

Scissors

Hand Towels and bath towels

Table cloth for outside table.

At lease one bucket for water.

Extension cords.

Axe

Shovel

tarp or 2

Rags

tire pressure gauge.

Flashlight

Thanks muddy dogs that is exactly what I was looking for. I just sold a full size home at the beach so I don't need advice on pots and pans, need to know what I need to step up trailer on a campsite

Here is my basics.

Water hose

Water pressure regulator so you don't blow your trailer lines

15 amp and 50 amp plug ends for your 30 amp trailer plug. If you have a 50 amp service then you need a 30 amp adapter. 15 amp is to hook into extension cord.

Sewer hose

Toilet chemicals

Blocks for stabilizer jacks and tongue jack. If you are on soft ground your tounge jack will post hole into the dirt. Wood works.

Harbor freight fuse assortment sized for your trailer just in case you blow one.

Chock blocks and wheel leveling blocks. Wood works.

Check your propane tanks to make sure they are full.

Charge your batteries because they probably are not full from the dealer.

Other then that throw in some food, cooking gear and your clothes then go have fun. Keep a list of must haves and things you want so you can remember to get them added before next trip.

You must be very excited. Hope you have as much fun in your TT as we do in ours. There are several excellent lists on-line that you can use as a guide to build your own. Just google something like "RV Camping List" and see what you come up with. lizzie

IF it is new. It should come with a starter kit. Will have every thing you HAVE to have to get started. and like any picnic. you will need the things to eat, and bathe.

I suggest start with the basics. Garage sales and thrift shops can be great for getting started with things like cookware, towels, soap, etc. We like having ours outfitted just like our house is. That way, packing for a trip is quick and easy. Be sure to get toilet paper made for holding tanks. I like to use the deodorant packs for holding tanks too. When using the toilet, don't skimp on the water. It makes dumping the tanks much more effective. Bring a good attitude so the little mistakes won't bother you.

Absolutely true:
Have seen recommended essentials including 12 piece cast iron cookware set. Also enough tools and spare parts to refit a nuclear submarine....and that is only the beginning.
