Besides why would you want to spend the night in a noisy, smelly truck stop. Truckers don't always have a choice but you do. .
I've never had a refer or any other OTR truck park next to me in the designated RV slots at a PFJ. We don't spend the night in one very often, but when we need to, we're grateful they're there.
People calling it cheap don't really know what their talking about.
Example: We will be traveling through the Labor day weekend. All the campgrounds anywhere near where we will be traveling through at that time require a 3 night stay on a holiday weekend. There is no way we could reserve a site for only one night while just passing through. And Walmarts aren't everywhere. So.......a truck stop to the rescue. Beside, we prefer a truck stop to a Walmart in unfamiliar area.
Also while traveling late Fall through early Winter, campgrounds that are still open that time of year are pretty scarce on our return trip.
Like you, though we don't make a habit of it, but when necessary an overnight stay at a truck stop is a welcome alternative.
